I drove the bean ground on every farm today & cut trees off the terraces & out of the fence rows. It was a long day but it was so nice out I really enjoyed it & I got done just before dark. We are 50-50 corn & beans & I drive the bean ground every year so I don't get corn stalks knocking off my hub caps or have a corn stalk poke a hole in a cooler or ripe off a tranny cooler line or anything like that. This has always worked good for me as this way the trees are small enough that I can snip them with a tree pruner & it doesn't take much Tordon. I have always said if you need a chainsaw & a log chain to clean your terraces. You waited to long. Some people comment that it should be the tenants place to do this but I think this gives me a chance to check on erosion, weed control, & maybe a broken or damaged terrace plus I got enough exercise that I will sleep good tonight.
