I assume you are trying to keep this truck as close to original appearance as possible.
But, I'm afraid the LED lights will be more obvious than you think. Try taking a good look at LED's on modern vehicles, they have a slight flicker, an obvious brightness, not the "warm glow" incandescents have. They may look slightly out of place on that truck.
Have you looked into finding a higher amp generator? Shouldn't be hard to find, especially if there is a starter/generator shop near you. That would solve the clearance light problem, allow for brighter headlights, give better charging, and be an "out of sight" improvement.
But if you do go with the beehive lights, find the glass lights if you can, something that looks like it belongs without the "made in China" look. Then worry about the lamps and sockets. There is a lot of room inside those lights. With a little ingenuity you can mount just about any socket you need.
