Jack........I'm always amazed how some people will spent $150 fer transistorized ignition 'stedda replacing $20 pair of points once a year. Don't gitt me wrong, I custom built a transisorized ignition fer my 1956 Dodge D-500 semi-hemi V-8. I also have a transisorized ignition on my 1969 BMW 2002 with 387K miles on it that I picked up at the factory in Munich, Germany. I still have points in my eazy starting 6-volt 52-8N tractor. Biggest problem with neiubie tractor wanna bees is gittin' too free and eazy with the spring loaded choke. The drill is 2-rumpa-rumpas on the starter motor before a QUICK pull on the spring loaded choke. Shuld fire rite up. YOu may need to "feather" the choke after start-up but that'd be only about 1-min before warmed up enuff to idle at 400-rpms. Simple, eh?......the amazed Dell and self-appointed sparkie-meister

He got this wild idea that we should get a convoy of AC tractors and drive them from Charlotte, Michigan 105 miles to LaGrange, Indiana.
