My poor 8N got flooded last June. As soon as I could get it out, I flushed with diesel fuel in the entire engine. Also the trans, and gear box. Ran it around with the plugs out, on the starter for a bit, Then another flush with diesel and some Dawn dish soap. Refilled with good oil, and drain and refill the gear box with new hydro and it's as good as new. The oil pressure is the same as before it went under. The lift has the same power as before too. It was sad to see it go under. but did no lasting damage that I can tell. Cleaning the gunk was a mess, and the carb took two cleanings but now I use it every month for mowing and bush hog and she's in great shape.
