I posted about this just a couple days ago...maybe even yesterday! Dang memory - guess it really is the first thing to go. Anyway, we live in an extreme fringe area and use a Novatel T-1114 data router/modem with voice in our home. I also bought a WeBoost booster (got the refurbished model for $359 about a year ago), got the booster hooked up, antennae outside, and got even less of a signal than the Novatel unit did sitting on the inside in a south-facing window. South-facing, as our nearest tower is....south! So I'm not overly impressed with them.
If ALL you have is a smart phone, then yes, I believe the WeBoost will make a noticed improvement. But I cannot speak highly enough of using this "phone box". You can still sign up for the unlimited plan, but this way you can get even more 4G speed. Only thing is, you cannot surf or look anything up on the phone box. It is ONLY meant as a means to connect with the cell tower. You must connect a corded or cordless phone to it, or you can surf the web using your PC or other device. Likewise, as it's a modem, you can use it to wirelessly connect various such items, like a printer for example. In order to use our printer without being limited by a printer cable, I turn on the printer (which connects to the modem), go online with the PC, and print. Wife can also print from her smart phone to the same printer as well. I can connect any PC in the house to the internet and send files to be printed. Now, even if internet happens to be down, your modem will still work for acting as that wireless link between devices. Took a while for me to wrap my head around that part of it!

In our particular hobby, we enjoy the nostalgic return to the days of our youth as we recreate many of the scenes that took place on the family farm that served as the stage for the first few acts of the play that is our live
