Ok i am awake now . How to fix the seal under the steering wheel on a 706 , First get a 1/4 fine BOTTOMING TAP and clean out the two hole next to the nut . you will need two long 1/4 fine thread bolts atleast 6 1/2 inches long and a steering wheel puller or harmonic balancer puller and you may have to do a little grinder work to get the bolts in closer to the puller screw as the center to center on the steering wheel are usually to close for a straight in shot thru the puller holes , Tis is why i say use LONG BOLTS as to get them both in you will have to sorta bend one to start the other . Now you can use and impact to remove the big nut or a breaker bar with a 3 inch extension. once the wheel is off then remove the snap ring and replace the wheel back on the shaft and give a shap fast turn on the wheel in either direction and the seal SHOULD pop out . I would use some carb or disc brake cleaner firsts to clean the area or any dirt or old oil and blow the area off . Now as for the KIT the last one i installed came from your friendly Case I H store and it was like 9 or 10 bucks , as to finding it else where never looked . With kit in hand this is less then a one beer job if your not a fast drinker.
