I had solar panels installed on my garage roof. I turned it on today. With my air conditioner on, my house lights, and my sand blaster vent blower I was still sending power back to the power co. When my compressor came on, I was receiving power from the electric co. As long as I am sending power back I get credit for nights, and cloudy days. I don't know about your areas, but solar panels are to be installed on all new construction in a few years. There are a lot of solar companies here in S.Calif, and are all very busy.
