Both our local Deere dealers told Dad to pull the 1940 4-speed B he bought at auction he either needed to haul it the 25 miles on a trailer or flat tow it on a 2-wheel dolly with the engine running to keep oil circulating where needed. TractorData says that tractor had a 4-1/2 mph road gear, but tractor came on rubber tires. No problem with tractor after we got it to it's new home. Dad and I both cranked that flywheel till we couldn't stand up any longer, towed it two miles to try to pull start just to get it running. Once running and loaded on the dolly we drove +/- 15-20 mph with it It was December and snow on the ground, so it was cold.
So if your A starts and runs, drive it the two miles.
