THe 1010 engine was arguably the worst (modern) engine in JD history. If it is running well, has no coolant in the oil, and no oil in the coolant, it might be OK. My brother has one and so far so good. Knowing it needs work, are you willing to have it repaired by a shop? Get an estimate before purchase! The engines have all 4 cylinders groupae together on a deck plate. Pricy it is. Undercarrage in mediocre shape is also a negative. Nah. Jim
