I need basic information about hauling a tractor on a trailer -- basic how to instructions. I've searched the discussion and article archives for this information and didn't find the basic how to info I desire (seems like a basic article that should be in the archives, yet isn't). I'll give you some particulars about my situation: I will be renting a trailer to haul a 1950 JD MT (~3,000 Lbs) 150 miles to my home. Right now, I have a 1990 GMC full size 3/4 ton conversion van with which to pull the trailer. I want to know (specific instructions -- how?) about loading the tractor, securing the tractor on the trailer, and unloading the tractor. I think I know some of this, but I really want to make sure that I do this safely. So, specific details are helpful. Also, this information might be helpful to others. Thanks for your help!
