I always loved the FARM,as In the smells, birds, clean air, mothers baking, church,Grandfathers moonshine,,and the fun of working. Well,I had a vision of being a Police officer. On the last interview I was informed I was probable going to be a GREAT CITIZEN,and would do well to never think again of a Police career!
I purchased 244 acres of farm Land, headed to Collage. Rented land out,and returned each summer,4>6 weeks. My back up plan was to be a Gas Generator Mechanic (Air Craft Turbines)and see the world. After graduating from the Gas Turbine Tech course........ I was contacted by a WW II Fighter Pilot (Mr. Williams Hines) who was now the Chief of all rotating equipment with a major Natural Gas Transmission Company. I was asked if I was interested in a career? In my fortieth year I retired (58 )from the above natural gas Pipeline Division. If I had it to do all over again I would change nothing!
I meet a wonderful Lady,married when I was 63.
Some where there are certificates stored ....Power Engineer...Electronics Processor Controls....Stationary Engine Mechanic, etc, etc, etc,. I ended up responsible for a fleet of Gas Generators / Turbines, and a whole lot of other STUFF.
I now Pick and Choose Interesting Assignments connected with pipelines, and gas generators on the world Theater.
