My favorite thing - spending your money. My ideal pickup with a diesel would be a Ford pickup with the Cummins diesel - but that isn't going to happen. So instead of basing the decision on engine first, truck second, you need to look at the overall package. I think the Cummins is probably a superior engine to the International power stroke in terms of longevity and durability and would have one in a heartbeat, but NOT in a Dodge. The Dodge pickup would be third on my list, Ford first, Chevy next (and I HATE wimpy chevy pickups) then and only then Dodge. Look a Dodge pickup over carefully, especially the front axle, if you're after a 4X4. It has the lamest means imiaginable to engage the front axle. But it's your money, you're making the payments, and no one here can make the final decision but you. Use the best sense you have, and good luck. Terry
