Hi, Don, have a picture of that very unit here SOMEWHERE! was on some advertising liturature from the 'Reynolds museum, have not been there, yet, to see it in person, live so close and yet seems so far, [about seventy miles?]. If memory serves, it had three pads which made up most of the machine, that were activated by two bell cranks, [for lack of a better term]that lifted and moved forward the "pads", in turn, apparently the unit was built with intention of using it for logging, where? I'm not sure, don't even have any idea of the manufacturer. I will try to find something on the "net" about it. As Alberta Mike mentioned, their "stuff" is well restored. Was at an antique show at Rimbey, about fourty miles from here, last summer, and Reynolds had a steam traction engine there, running, was it a nice unit! talked to the engineer quite a bit, got some fantastic background. Understand they had it at several functions during the summer. Will post back if I find anything out about the 'walking' tractor. have a gooder, R.E.L.
