I used to like creating those for students to work on when I taught basic electricity at the tech college in Red Wing MN for HVAC/R classes. Kind of like doing puzzles to keep the mind sharp. Still use it in diagnostics of newer equipment as some of the rules are now getting bent and stretched for cost savings. Last piece of equipment I had used the windings of the compressor as a conductor when the thermostat was open to operate the defrost heaters.
