The alleged linkage between pesticides and celiac disease is (1) a bad internet meme, or (2) an unscrupulous lawyer's ad. There are other scams out there from people who try to sell you a cure. There is none. The symptoms are pretty obvious, and living with it requires a gluten free diet. If you actually have celiac disease, it's because you have the genetic background for it. It's an autoimmune disease that makes the villi in your small intestine become inflamed. Nutrient absorption is greatly reduced. The disease may lie dormant for many years, and become active after a stress event. My wife has it, her father had it, and our daughter had it. The most difficult part of living with it is figuring out what foods have gluten in them. Celiac.com is a good source of information but it is dominated by corporate "gluten-free" food advertisers. Meat, vegetables, and fruit are always gluten free - until they get processed... Post back if you want to email me. I am not an MD but I've kept my wife healthy for 20 years with it...
