Hello everyone, I know this topic isn't tractor related. Please forgive me. I just wanted to give everyone an update on my esophogeal cancer journey. I am currently undergoing radiation and chemo treatments at Mayo in Rochester Minnesota. I just started the first of 25 radiation treatments on Monday this week and my first of 5 chemo treatments was yesterday. I am severely struggling swallowing solid food since I was diagnosed on June 7,2023. After I complete these treatments, and if all goes well, I will have about a 4 week recovery, and then hopefully I will have the esophojectomy surgery in mid October. The esophojectomy is a very intense 6-8 hour surgery where 3 doctors remove my cancerous esophagus and the top of my stomach, and then reform the rest of my stomach into a tube and reconnect it to the back of my throat. I will have a feeding tube in my belly until I can learn to eat again on my own. This could be a 6 month or longer recovery, depending on how my body is handling all these changes. So my life will be forever changed from here on. I am leaving this all in our good Lord's hands to guide me through this journey succesfully. Thank you all for listening.
