Our ground never realy froze much either. A few years back it froze down 2+ feet Rock Hard where the snow was thin. It was pretty warm this year for us another mild winter again with not enought snow to fill the lakes back up. Probly another bad Fire Season too. But I still have a mud problem I will have to wait till about end of March and plant at the end of April! Our growing season is real short and the frost has made me plant over again a few times!!
