Well, as far as restoring it goes, I've always believed the smaller the better (or at least the smaller the easier to restore). But then you said you wanted to work it so I guess it would depend on how much work it needs to do. Also, rubber, especially the rears, are pretty pricey and trying to find a decent used PAIR is tough (you can sometimes find a single rear for sale). Other than that, any of the brands are fine, you'll find a ton of help right here on the YT site for almost anything including the Essex Tri-Dirctional if you find one of those.
