1944 john deere model steering trouble

can anyone give me advise on how to fix excessive slop in the steering? i have heard you can ad a bushing some place but dont know where or really what exactly to do.mostly noticeable at higher speeds when the front wheels star to wobble.i took off the front cap and the bearing is pretty much gone as well.any advice would be great.
