One of the things that makes tractors a fun hobby is that its relatively inexpensive- which is good if you're buying, but not if you're selling! Because of the work involved in restoring the whole tractor, versus the value when finished, making money at it is probably not in the cards. BUT- think about concentrating on one component- like magnetos, or carburetors- and get really good at it, and you might have a chance, especially with the ease of national advertising on the Internet. I know a guy who repairs, rebuilds and recalibrates diesel pumps for two cylinder John Deeres. Got into it by accident, when an old timer sold him his machine. No one else does it, and modern pump guys won't bother with it because of specialized equipment required and very limited clientele- but this guy has made himself a niche.
