How about OEM manuals vs reprint? I got a TM from Deere for $55.00 including shipping. On this site same manual cost 150.00-- pretty healthy markup. However, i did replace an oil cooler on my JD last year and in my haste I neglected to make sure it came with the base gasket. The one off the old unit was just a bit different so it would not work. It seemed like a regular gasket like is on an oil filter so off to Wal-Mart I go to see if I can find a filter with that size gasket- Ha Ha. Anyway, called JD, they sent it to me UPS next day. I looked at the invoice--- list price $9.50.(No charge though, should have been with cooler) The machine was not going anywhere with out that gasket, so if that is what it cost so be it. As previously stated, this old iron is not a cheap hobby. I've got an overhaul coming up on my JD in the spring so I"ll be on the parts hunt over the winter, whether they be OEM or aftermarket, time will tell. How do you guys feel about CAT? sometimes when i would go to JD I felt like crying, but when I gotta put money into the CAT I go into hysterics.
