Interesting stuff about 0w-30 oil. I thought it would stand up better in warmer temps. They don't recomended up above freezing. But basically I agree with what they say. The synthetics are a plus for cold weather starts. My brother had a 95 Dodge with a cummings in it and sold it with 522,000 KMs on it. The truck is still going strong as a welding truck. He was a trucker and he'd put 10,000KMs on in no time. He always used Esso XD3 15w-40 and changed it and the filter at 10,000KMs. That engine ran like a top and when it was time to change the oil it was down just a litre. Same goes for the rear end all original but we changed the oil every 80,000KMS or when ever he was stuck in a deep mud hole. He used it to haul drilling parts to oil rigs so the roads were terrible at times.
