Bob, My experience with Case is that the 30 series is that you cannot beat the engine it is great. The trans is an eight speed called a caseomatic which is kinda cool, basicaly it is a high low range with a 4 speed trans. The rear end it really tough. If you dont run it out of oil or anything like that it will last for ever. The only problem I know of is once in a while you have to pull the hydrolic pump off the back of the tracotr and clean the oil strainer. I have never seen one without a 3 point hitch. I would say the biggest problem was brakes. They had a dry manual brake and with heavy field use the brake disc would glaze over and the brakes did not work very very well if at all. I think that if you want a toy to play with you would be very satisfied with it and for $2200 I would pay that for it. Hope it helps.
