Independent haulers seem a bit shy facing the jackets of the border patrol. Anything not perfect on the paperwork, means delay, or turn back. Call the border cross site you would use, write down what they require. If you did the haul yourself, it falls more into Personal traveling. No duty on items $2000.00 or less. Origin of manufacture, address of delivery. FARM tractor, avoid the word Antique. Truckers get questioned, you could get through(probably) much easier. The flare-up of mad-cow, may mean proof of two years, on the N.A. Farm. Haul it yourself, if your border phone call looks like a green light. Good luck.
