I have a feeling I know which John Deere dealer you're referring to. I'm just down the road from them. (and not far from where you are) You want to feel like you're living in the stone age? Try to buy a tractor from them. I was told (1) My trade-in wasn't worth the cost of hauling it in to their lot. (I later sold it myself for $14,000, must cost a lot to run their trucks.) (2) According to the sales manager, I didn't know what I wanted and they were there to help educate me on "modern tractors". (I knew EXACTLY what model I wanted to look at/buy. Later I did buy that model from another dealer) (3) Since I "didn't know much about tractors" the salesman would show me everything I needed to know (I've owned and used tractors of my own for almost 50 years, and currently own 7) (4)Until I got all the "silly ideas" about buying another brand out of my head, I was "wasting their time" shopping at that dealer. I quit wasting their time. Wouldn't buy anything there now if it was the last tractor dealer on earth. I spent my $65,000 elsewhere. I'll do everything in my power to dissuade anyone else from buying there.
