I recently posted a question about the danger of tricycle tractors vs wide front, and the overwhelming concensus is that unless you are using a loader, there is no significantly greater risk of tipping a narrow front, provided you have the tired filled (which these are). It is a matter of how careless the driver is. This is a restoration project for me that will be used for occasional things on our hobby farm. So, it will be plenty useful for me. My other obsolete tractors (a 1957 Ford 650 and a 1975 Case 580B backhoe) serve me quite well, thank you. And this nice old JD will be a handy addition to the stable as well as a thing of beauty.
