FCC requires that two-way satellite systems be installed by professionals. If the satellite company now says there is static build-up or interference causing problems, I'd call the installers back out to do the job right. Did they put a grounding rod at the dish? Did they install a grounding block where the coax enters the building? Did they check for interference sources close to the line-of-sight of the dish? If this has been a problem since installation, the job wasn't done right the first time.
