A few years ago I saw local rigging outfit's TD-9 fitted with "street pads" in a couple parades around here. These were essentially large, rectangular tire rubber(?) pads that bolted between and extended a couple inches above each grouser. They worked nice on good pavement. However in hot weather they would dig up chip seal somewhat . Sure made for a unique parade vehicle!
