I buy both used and new. It depends on the situation. I bought a 1995 Ford F-250 Powerstroke brand spanking new. I only use it for going to town when I have to haul things like lumber. I also pull trailers with it. My pickup has never been off road and never been used on the farm. It only has 52,000 miles on it and I plan on keeping it until I can afford a brand new pickup. I was thinking along your lines and wanted a pickup that nobody else had owned yet. However, I buy used for my other vehicles that I and the rest of my family use for going to town or going to the neighbors, or farmwork or just plain getting around. Our vehicles are used every day and get lots of wear and tear on them so I don't see the point of buying new.
