Hey Shocker, More than likley the idle is too fast. Clean air filter, check plugs, adjust carb (if gas) etc. If this does not solve the problem, get a can of spray teflon lube, Liquid Wrench makes it - so does JD$$$. Spray the clutch with this stuff and work it to loosen it up. It may only be a short term fix, or not at all. As the JD tech said, clutch is not rebuildable. You need a special tool to take this clutch off. It costs $50-75 and you will never use it again. So load up the Gator in the back of your pick up and drive to the dealer. The part is about $150 and they should not charge more than $10 to change it. Don't do what I did unless you must. I thought it would be smart and take the engine out and down to the dealer to change the clutch. Save them having to disasemble, clean, repair and reasemble and charge me big money. Turns out the tool goes through the side of the frame and is changed on the spot. Guess I didn't see the knockout through the mud. Anyway, I get it back together and all it does is overheat. Apparently you must bleed the air out of the coolant system, which the manual does not tell you how to do. Drove it onto my pickup, back to the dealer and let them bleed it right. Runs great now and was much cleaner until my wife drove it through a ditch and burried it in the mud on the other side. Nothing hurt but her pride. Hope it is only an idle adjustment for you, Grant
