my favorite small block..if ya do a nice rebuild with forged pistons and arp rod bolts and keep the rpms below 5500,they will live a long and happy life..they are NOT a high rpm motor unless you go with aftermarket crank and rods..I built one 8 or 10 years ago for an 84 chevy truck,comp 292 cam,world sportsman II heads,gotta drill those steam holes,it was a screamer for a small block.. I've got a 468 rat in my old truck now,but if I was gonna have another smallblock,it would be a 400.. Tim
