The JD is out of your price range. the 560 gasser you can buy all day long for $2000 or less. Allis should be in your budget as well as the 10 but might be a heavier tractor than you need and might get into a lot of pricy repairs if it is not in good shape. I'd watch for a 656 diesel. You can pick them up for less than $5000 and they will have 3 point hitch. And I guess next to the venerable M they are one of the best tractors IH ever produced. Way more tractor than a 3020 Deere for less money.
