I believe auction prices are actually down on most items. Oh sure there will always be someone who bids a crazy amount on some particular tractor or piece of equipment, but overall prices are down. Some dealers and sellers always start out with a crazy high price, hoping a fool with more money than brains comes along. Every once in a while, just such a person pops up and they want to be in a position to take good advantage of them. Auctions are more where the true market is established, and it"s down overall.
