Sure...they will cross pollinate. The new varieties of the "super sweets" are 67 to 85 day maturity and usually mature before the field corn when planted side by side. Plant early sweet corn, and late field corn and cross pollination shouldn't be a problem. Cross pollination can make your sweet corn tough and unpleasant to eat.
