In their defense and only slightly, realize what they were shooting with. A semi-auto pistol in 9mm is not exactly the best large game gun. Plus, think how many shots to the chest it would take to kill a buffalo, My bet is on a lot more than one. I used to pick up deer hit on teh road and I once watched an officer hit a deer 3 times in the head from 5 feet away before it killed the deer. Their guns are meant to stop people not animals.
