Howdy Dan, As a fellow who suffers from similar symptoms I would like to help you diagnose your disorder. For, it is not a disease. Diseases have cures but disorders quite often don"t. The name of your disorder is Debtitis (a very painful inflamation of debts) with a fairly serious case of Cashafobia (a fear of saving money or putting back cash in any way). These types of disorders cannot be cured. They can, however, be treated. The simple fact of the matter is that these disorders result from a lack of iron. So, to treat them is pretty easy....go buy some more tractors. God bless. --old fashioned farmer p.s. I enjoyed your story.
