Had a friend of mine get a bath and a half awhwile back while running a Komatsu excavator. In his case it was a 1" line coming off the main pump (rated at 35 GPM). The line had just blown and they had just had a new one made up and for whatever reason the one end wasn't crimped properly, so the first time it got under a load and pressure built the line blew out of it. Bad thing was he had just opened the cabs rear/side vent window and when it came out of the fitting the curve of the line caused it to lay right in the cab with him. By the time he realized what was happening he was already soaked and he bailed out of the cab....only to realize he had to get right back in to shut the machine down. Fortunately the machine hadn't been running but a few minutes when it happened or he would have been severly burned since he caught a stream and not just a spray. Needless to say the place that made the line up jumed through hoops to make it right including enough oil to refill the tank, redoing the machines interior, making another new line, etc etc etc.
