Now Now Mark. Think about what he said. When you push it down 1/4" the noise STOPS. A throw out bearing would not make any noise at rest and then when you pushed down 1/4" and made contact the bearing would start spinning and START making a noise. Sounds more like loose pressure plate fingers or springs to me. When you push down the bearing makes contact with the fingers and stops them from rattling. Either way tractor needs to be split so you can change the clutch out. Now if you had said the noise stops when you push way down on the clutch I would then think trans input shaft bearing.
