When pulling anything that might get hung up, the chains should be attached to a hitch that is mounted to the back of the tractor below the bottom of the rear axle. This will go a long ways to preventing, or at least slowing down, a nose of a$$ roll. And better yet, tractors used often for pulling stumps, skidding logs etc. should have a sturdy roll bar. Lots of discussions about this saftey issue have transpire on this board. Do search if you want to read more.
