The ideal way would be to use some of those wheel nets. These devices fit over the top of the tire and are then connected to a ratcheting strap and tied down to the trailer. You probably don"t have any of those, so the next best way is to chain around the axles and use chain binders. Be very careful of the brake lines on the axles.I have tried tying trucks and cars down by attaching to the frame of the truck being hauled, and I could never keep it tight.
