The easiest way to determine if the engine is the oldsmobile engine is if it has an oil fill tube in the front at the timing cover area. The chevrolet engine will fill oil through the valve cover. Also, the eighth digit in the vin code will be a "Y" for the olds engine. If you managed the Intake Manifold you should be able to do a chain. Good Luck. Chris.
