Thanks for the update. I have been following this and the original post but haven't said anything until now. I live in Texas and have replaced my tires (1/2 ton trucks) since 1970 with Cooper each time I could when the factory tires wore out. I have had nothing but good luck with them and no one I know has ever had a problem with them. That being said, I can say the same thing about any other brand of tire I have used. Every once in a while one line of one brand of tire won't hold up as well as another brand or even another line of the same brand. That happens with other products as well. I will keep using Cooper tires on my trucks becouse of the tire life and the lower cost. If they or any other product is found to be of low quality and dangerous I will switch. However if a TV station reports false or misleading information I will switch stations and let them know why. Freedom of speech is not freedom to lie or mislead. CLW
