Yeah, I am about 5 miles from New Energy in South Bend, IN. South Bend Regional is only 5 or 6 miles away from the plant also. When they first opened in the 80's till about 3 years ago you could smell it now and then but now they have changed some things around and I don't ever smell it unless you are in the plant, we have to drive and park right next to one of the waste collection ponds (I guess thats what you call it). On some days the steam hangs right on the ground, have to drive through it but most days it goes up up and away. It dissipates fairly quickly so even that low hanging cloud is gone in say 100' or so. I know there are several more scheduled to be in operation in '07 but not sure where in IN they are going.
