On my JD750 (A Yanmar in JD paint) I have to twiddle the gearshift lever to get it to start, the neutral safety switch is REAL sensitive. Sometimes have to pull up on the PTO lever too, just been too lazy to adjust the switch. I think of it as Theft Prevention...
