Yep, sounds familiar. One of my neighbors tries to run about 6 or 7 quarters of land by himself. About 4 of them have cattle on them year round and the grass never gets more than 1/2 an inch tall. Cattle are inbred, scruffy, diseased, and poorly fed. He runs nearly all new equipment, but most of it only sees an oil change every 1000 or 2000 hours. Some of these tractors (nearly new FWA New Hollands) spend most of their time sitting in some field or corral propping up the fences. There's a really nice mid 60's Cat D8 (only saw 1 year of hard bush duty) sitting in a pile of manure, just rotting away (it ran a couple of years ago, but now has mag trouble on popper motor). Also a couple other older machines, still in good condition, but just rotting from not getting any usage. But he "might use it again someday" so he won't sell it! Better stop now, before I kick something in frustration. Lyndon
