Hit walmart, napa, TSC, etc.. and get an epoxy stick. The sell one SPECIFICALLY for battery repairs.. and it is acid resistant. they also sell ones for gas tank repairs that will stick and bond to metal that is gas-wet. Tilt the battery so there is no fluid leaking.. remove your patch and ALL rtv.. may have to scuff with some 1000 paper. then follow the directions on the stick.. mix and patch.. usually cures within a few minutes..
