Hi Steve, I'm with old, if you want your tractor, take it down and wash it out with diesel. If your going to sell it then drain the oil and install a TP filter then use diesel oil in the pan over filling by 2qts and circulate that for a couple hours. Let the engine sit over night and drain the diesel before restarting. If alot of sand then repeat a couple times. I think you'll ruin a good engine even using the diesel. You just can't get rid of all the samd without tear down. T_Bone
