Yup, that's our fox. We've had good luck with a guy we talk to at Hiniker (the legal guardians of Fox) We got a new shear bar form them this spring, we ordered new gathering chains through anothere guy they pointed us to just about a month ago, etc...

I priced out new knives from Zenith but they're a little pricey for what we do. For used parts we've got a bone yard about 1/2 hr away that has a ton of old Fox's in the lot, I'll try to call them some time about the knives.

I think it was 3 years ago we replaced all the teeth on the pick-up head, we got them through an AGCO dealer that also does Hiniker but they didn't have enough, so we went to another old Fox dealer. So far, parts haven't been too bad, but you have to do some searching to find the best price. The teeth we could have gotten straight from hiniker for probably a buck or 2 less each, but that was before we knew we could order from them direct.

First thing to do is Google Hiniker, then send them an email asking about some parts. With any luck you'll get someone who knows what they're talking about and if they don't have it, they know who can get it, and they can recomend a dealer who may still carry Fox parts.

What kind of parts are you looking for?

Donovan from Wisconsin

Last niht I dreamed about the day that I plowed the field of about 10 acres over on what Jimmy and Dandy called the Ledbetter field. I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit ... [Read Article]
