they had turbos, but they were to small and spooled to slow. aslo didnt have inter-coolers on them and the radiator hoses went in and came out the same side causing some over heating. the early frames werent strong enough for the torque either and there was a lot of busted frames. they (dodge) changed the radiator, added an intercooler and beefed up the frame around 91 i believe and made it the truck it is now. we have ran them since dodge put them on the lot and the first ones had every problem i listed, but they just continue to get better. my fav is the 93 3/4 ton 4x4 we have still, straight exhaust, turned and tuned, sounds like a mack truck, and will d@mn near pull what a mack will, just cant stop it:) bottom line, if its newer than a 91 and looks good and seems strong, you won have much problems
