Background: I haven"t started this thing in a year, but it ran last year. It was ALWAYS very hard to start, but seemed to run pretty good once I got it fired. Now: Tried to start, and it turned over REAL SLOW. (always did turn real slow). Barely one rev, and battery was gone. I put in my best 6 volt, fully charged battery, and she still turned REAL slow. Got about 6 revolutions, 3 different times, and she dragged the battery down. Recharged battery. Checked archives, and found that #1 should be on upper left Mag nipple. My #1 was on LOWER RIGHT nipple, and 1,2,4,3 from there. Switched wires to start at upper left nipple. Now she turns over quite a bit faster, but still no start. BIG QUESTION: Could this thing have been running with the wires that far off??? I know about as much about Mags as I know about the reproductive cycle of the blue ringed octopus, but it looks like I"ll have to tear it down, and start from scratch. Sure would like to know how it was running before though! Mag experts are invited to give any, and all input.... Stan
